By 1928 the Metropolitan Omnibus Transport Company (M.O.T.C.) had grown to a fleet of more than 90 buses; then the biggest in Sydney. The M.O.T.C. introduced three Leyland TD 1’s in 1929 including M0402 on the Sydney Enfield run.
