In May 1958 when Holden introduced the FC model, it was to be Holdens most successful model prior to the arrival of the EH.
Across the FC range, four vehicle types were offered including the sedan, panel van, Ute plus Holdens first station wagon. The sedan by now also offered the choice of three trim levels, Standard, Specia and Business. With its six-cylinder 2171cc engine the FC could reach a top speed of 86mph and accelerate from 0-60mph in 19.5 seconds.
From its side view, the FC was often referred to as a ‘scaled down Chev’ and during its production era, not only was the 500,000th Holden produced, but the 10,000th Holden car was exported.
This model is part of a collection obtained and sold as is.
