Developed by BMC Australia in 1962 and fitted with the 6 cylinder “Blue Streak” engine and a choice of manual or auto transmission it set out to challenge it’s competitors. The FREEWAY sold 3090 units in its first year but sales gradually declined and the model was deleted in 1965.
