1948 48/215 Sedan – Des West Racing

$115.00

($115.00 ex-GST)

A Classic FX Holden from the very first Australian Touring Car Championship.

Des West specialised in repairing Holden and took a stock 48/215 and transformed it into a fully fledged race car to compete in the inaugural Appendix J Touring Car Championships.  From all reports, the Des West Holden remains as the only surviving car from the first Australian Touring Car Championship held in 1960 at  Blas near Orange, New South Wales. Trax  has recreated this classic of Australian motoring history in all its glory, including the satin paint finish.  Even the leather bonnet straps are there, which Des added to comply with the new racing rules at the time.
